Brong Ahafo
Brong Ahafo is divided into Bono east, Ahofo and Bono Regions
The region is a cocoa farming area with Christianity a predominant religion. Women and children are mainly used for farming activities including cocoa, cassava, cashew, and timber plantation. Healthcare and sanitation are poor with no major hospitals but CHPs compounds. Economically, life expectancy is high with little avenues for acquiring cash. In the region, the majority still believe in traditional or indigenous ways of doing things, with makes it difficult to breakthrough with technology. Saving arm foundation has engaged the youth in skilled training like barbing, shoemaking, catering, and beads making as well as carpentry. Currently funding is being sourced to create village savings and loans for the women and also to build a vocational training center for both abled and disabled children in the form of the orphanage which will be run as a daycare center (the land has already been acquired for this project). Saving arm foundation has also supported some less privileged children to attend school.
